When someone passes, their vehicles become estate assets, and executors, probate courts, and the IRS all need to know what they're worth. A certified appraisal documents fair market value for the court. $250 flat, delivered in 24-48 hours.

WHAT THIS SOLVES

The number the whole filing rests on

Probate inventory and appraisement documents require supportable values for every asset, vehicles included. Get it wrong and you invite objections from heirs, scrutiny from the court, and tax problems down the line. Get it right and the estate moves.

Estate work has wrinkles other appraisals don't. Date-of-death (retrospective) valuations set the stepped-up basis that heirs rely on at resale. Classic and collector cars in an estate need collector-market comps, not a depreciation curve. Multi-vehicle estates need consistent methodology across the board so no heir can argue the numbers were cherry-picked. And in Texas, an estate vehicle with no title can run alongside the bonded title process.

FAQS

Probate and estate questions

[faq-start]

  1. Can you value the car as of the date of death?
  2. The title is missing. Can you still appraise it?
  3. Who orders the appraisal: heir, executor, or attorney?
  4. What if the estate has several vehicles?
  1. Yes. Retrospective valuation is standard in estate work. Tell us the date and we research that market, which is what sets the stepped-up basis for the heirs.
  2. Yes. A missing title doesn't stop the valuation. If the estate is in Texas and needs to establish ownership before it can transfer the vehicle, our appraisal also supports the bonded title process; elsewhere your state's titling agency sets the route.
  3. Any of them. Most orders come from executors and probate attorneys; we deliver to whoever manages the filing.
  4. We appraise each one separately with the same methodology, so the values hold together when heirs compare them. Call with the count and we'll quote the set.
